Gravity

I weep
Tears flow
Not a care in this
        whole wild world

They flow for gravity
Not for sorrow
        Like rain —
That touches
this beautiful surface of the Earth
— Like a pearl’s kisses.

The Moon

The moon does not Indicate:
“Here I am. Round and white, reflecting sunlight.”
It is the moon. It reflects light. Round, and white.

Looking up to the sky you know it’s there
Your skin’s lamination declares
an existence that needs no
            proof or validation

Is the moon ever shy about shining — or not shining?

I sleep soundly, and wonder.
